EVENT NEWS

The Met will be participating in two farmers markets beginning this Memorial Day Weekend. Visit us on Saturdays from 1p-5p at The Mad Planter’s Farmer’s Market in Albany, NH. and on Thursdays from 9a-1p at The Farmer’s Market in Center Conway at Country Hearth and Home.

Look for our booth on June 6th from 9a-4p at the Business-to-Business Expo taking place at The Mt Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods. We are going all out to win “The Exhibitor Award” for the third year in a row.

We had a blast at The Earth Day Farmer’s Market hosted by Flatbread on April 22nd. It was great to get to see all of the locally made goods and to talk about our locally roasted coffee. Speaking of which. See that cool looking pair in pic? That’s Chrisitian on the left and Tran on the right. When they’re not wearing cool shades, he’s workin’ the roaster crafting some fabulous coffees and she’s making specialty coffee beverages as one of The Met’s lead Baristas.

Event News
We are very excited about being a sponsor for the North Conway Village Association’s Kindness Weekend happening this Memorial Day Weekend. The event will begin Friday evening with a Keynote Lecture at the Theater in the Wood, by author and international speaker Michael J. Chase, founder of The Kindness Center. There’ll be a coffee and dessert reception at The Met for Michael immediately following his lecture. Check out The Kindness Center at thekindnesscenter.com.

Saturday morning, everyone is invited to gather in N. Conway Village for a little inspiration and to collect the tools of the kindness trade before fanning out to the community to commit all sorts of kindness on unsuspecting victims. So don’t be surprised if a stranger hands you a smiley face balloon, or pays for your coffee while you’re standing in line. Typically, at past events of this nature, people have come back with amazing stories as the result of the simplest acts. We’ll gather together again mid-day to hear some of the morning’s stories as a group.

Free chair massages, blood pressure screenings, crafts for kids and other kind and fun things will be happening under the tent in Schouler throughout Saturday afternoon. In addition, White Birch Books will be hosting a book-signing event with Michael, offering his new book Am I Being Kind.
