Last year, our local radio station WMWV ran a promotion that emphasised the good work in the community that so many of our Mt Washington Valley businesses do. Click the link below to check out this spot. You’ll get a good idea of what The Met is all about.

We are ecstatic and humbled to have been chosen by the reader’s of New Hampshire Magazine as “Favorite Coffee House: White Mountains.”
Thanks to all of our fantastic customers for choosing us. And, thanks to our extraordinary baristas who make it all happen, everyday. On a daily basis, I am energized and frankly, blown away, by the way our employees take responsibility for creating a world class experience for everyone who walks through our door. It is a tribute to the kind of people they are. If you’re planning a trip to The White Mountains and haven’t checked out The Met yet, stop by and see for yourself. If you have any ideas or suggestions to make The Met an even better coffee house experience, please let us know. We are, at our core, always looking for ways to exceed your expectations.
Thanks Again,
Howard Stanten and Erin Wright, Owners

This is going to be too much fun! North Conway Village is having a village wide Easter Egg Hunt on Friday April 11th and Saturday April 12th. The eggs will be hidden at the 12 participating businesses: The Met, The Framed Art Superstore, Soyfire Candle, Fields of Ambrosia, The Penguin, Aaron’s Hats, White Birch Books, The Chef’s Market, Spruce Hurricane, The Bavarian Chocolate Haus, The Toy Chest, and WIne Thyme. Your job is easy. Find two eggs at each business. Each egg allows you to register for a total of $500.00 in prizes, and you don’t have to buy anything to participate. But, since you won’t be able to resist picking up an Easter treat or gift at one of thesa fabulous venues, many of the eggs will be filled with specials and discounts. The prize winners will be announced on RSN TV the next morning. Every egg at The Met will have a special offer including: Buy one Latte, Get one Free, 10% off a Met Mug, 2 for 1 Cookies, and more. Hope to see you and Happy Hunting.

If you haven’t come to New Hampshire’s Mt Washington Valley yet this winter but you’re thinking about it, STOP THINKING! Get up here now. We just had an ample helping of mid week powder, and the skiing is awesome. (Not to mention the snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and winter hiking.) We’re in the middle of February Vacation week 1, and The Met has been filled with smiling skiers every morning and afternoon. What better place to be for a family friendly apre ski?
Our hand painted ceramic mugs from Mara and Padilla have been flying off the shelves. We love these mugs so much we use them to serve your piping hot Met Mocha’s and Hot Chocolates. If we didn’t have what you were looking for, check out The Met’s web store. We have a complete collection of these beautiful, durable, lead free, dishwasher safe mugs that you can order while you’re dreaming about the great time you had on your New Hampshire winter vacation.
Happy Winter!

Hi everyone. Hope you had a great New Year’s! The Met rang in the New Year featuring a rockin’ open mike night, hosting a private party in the free meeting room, and serving up piping hot coffee, hot chocolate, and cider at the base of Cranmore Mt as part of their Crantastic New Year’s Eve Event. Kudos to Dianne and Jeremy for braving the below zero windchill! Remember, if you can’t get to The Met, we can come to you. We can accomodate most needs and tailor a catering package specifically for you.
Speaking of which, we now have the technology to deliver to you our unsurpassed speciality coffee drinks. DELIVERY IS BETTER THAN DRIVE THROUGH!! Check this out-the folks that make the bags that keep pizzas piping hot have made us a carrying case that keeps our Lattes and Cappucinos just as piping hot as we make our way from The Met to you. Imagine surprising your office staff with a few Caramellas or Met Mochas on a blustery day! No getting in your car or waiting in line….just pure hero worship! Call Dianne, our manager, to get the specifics.
In local news, The North Conway Village Association has been reborn! A list of growing North Conway Village businesses are organizing to put an end to “event flight” from North Conway Village. Our first mission is to return the New Year’s Eve Festival in an expanded week long format. The new North Conway VIllage Holiday Festival will be a mix of special business promotions and community centered events culminating with a New Years Eve weekend bash! Other events are in the works beginning this spring. Want to get involved! Shoot me an email or respond to this blog. Be a part of bringing North Conway Village to World Class!

We, at The Met, are excited about bringing the Met Community online. The big idea here is that if you can’t get to The Met in person, you can get to The Met here. We’ll post all kinds of tidbits including upcoming happenings at The Met and ideas we have for the future. We want your ideas too, so please contribute. For those of you who are new to The Met scene, The Met is a community centered coffee house continuously implementing changes in response to what the community wants. Our Free Meeting Room is one example. Open Mic night on Wednesday nights is another. We thrive on feedback, so please keep us alive and give us feedback!! What would you like to see more (or less) of at The Met? How can we improve your experience?
Like everthing else at The Met, this blog will be driven by your response. What direction do you think it should take? Sure, we’ll talk about The Met, and we’d love to talk about coffee. But, what else? Politics? Music? Art? The Local Scene? How about Met Barista Gossip? Alot goes on here at The Met. The stories the walls could tell…Have you heard about the ghost?
If you’re looking for an alternative to the drinking scene, Meet at The Met on New Year’s Eve. There’ll be plenty of us here enjoying great local musical talent at our New Year’s Eve Open Mic Night-and you won’t have a headache the next day!
Happy Holidays from all of us at The Met…see you soon.
